Day 446.
This is getting real bad. The man just cannot help himself from trying to be in the spotlight, even if he has to lie to get there. We have never had a president so full of himself in our entire history.
At Davos, Slimy Donny made a huge announcement that no one expected. He said “America is open for business”. That is funny in the sense that with all of the foreign companies already doing business in America, I would have thought that we were open for business for a very long time.
Of course, “America is NOT open for business” if those businesses have the “trump” name on them. None of his family businesses make their products in America. Even after his “wonderful and job creating” tax cut for the rich was passed. And, there is still no indication that any of those businesses will open factories in America anytime soon.
But, of course, he just couldn’t help himself to go even one speech where he didn’t bash the media. Unfortunately for him, his comments drew some very loud boos. Those boos did not come from American reporters either. They came from the audience.
While he is making a total ass of himself in front of the leaders of several countries and business leaders from around the globe, he has his own problems right here at home. The Russia Probe is getting closer and closer to him personally.
Yesterday, the New York Times and then the Washington Post had stories telling us that Slimy Donny tried to fire Mueller back in June of last year. That was right after he was appointed to the position.
Slimy Donny says that it is all “fake news”. Only, there is a real problem with the “fake news” alibi. His own propaganda arm, Fox News, also “confirmed the report” as being accurate.
That put Fox’s Joseph Goebbels, Sean Hannity, in a tough spot. During his hour-long show, he tried to totally ignore the story and instead, in typical Hannity fashion, was talking about Hillary’s emails again. Then about half way through his hour, he spent 53 seconds debunking the story as “fake news” and that the New York Times was out to get his hero.
He said: “Our sources, and I’ve checked in with many of them, they’re not confirming that tonight. And how many times has the New York Times and others gotten it wrong?”
Problem was that before the show ended, it was confirmed by Fox News sources. Ooops! But, rather than admit he was wrong about his debunking of the story, he went on to say: “Yeah maybe donald trump wanted to fire the special counsel for conflict. Does he not have the right to raise those questions? You know, we’ll deal with this tomorrow night”.
The real funny part in this story is the “number one” reason Slimy Donny had on his list of three reasons to fire Mueller back in June. That was that Mueller had resigned from one of Slimy Donny’s country clubs when the fees were raised. Yeah, that is a real conflict that will make Mueller want to “get” Slimy Donny.
This whole affair has gotten to a point where the liars don’t even know how to lie for Slimy Donny any more. Hannity first says “I’ve contacted our sources”. But, that is hard to believe since he was on the air at the time.
Then when his own sources says the story is true, he comes up with some lame explanation as to why Slimy Donny should have the “right to raise those questions”. Look, stupid, either he did try to fire Mueller or he didn’t. If he did try to fire Mueller and was only thwarted by his own White House Counsel, then he was guilty of trying to obstruct justice. And, that is a crime.
Our coconut brain (I use coconut on purpose because I am allergic to coconut) is all over the map on every single issue except his own self-promotion. According to his campaign he is all in favor of health care for everyone. Except he can’t stand the ACA and is willing to put 23 million Americans out of health insurance.
He is all in favor of the Dreamers and will “sign a bipartisan bill put in front of him”. Then when one shows up two days later, he backs away from that promise because his racism takes over.
He says that DACA will not be fixed without his Berlin Wall and that Dreamers will not have a path to citizenship. Now he says that they, and a million other undocumented immigrants can have a path to citizenship.
He said that his great tax cuts would not benefit him one penny. As a matter of fact, he says it will only benefit the middle-class and his buddies are very mad about that. Except he will gain at least a $3 million tax cut while the middle-class gets a whopping $360.
He keeps telling you to “buy American and make American”. Yet he and his family continue to make their products overseas and not in America. The only reason given by Ivanka Trump’s own company is the cost of labor is far less overseas and that is their driving factor in where they make their products.
He tells the Palestinians that they must “return to the peace table” or he will pull their aid money. Yet, he does not tell Israel that they must “stop building settlements on Palestinian land” or lose their aid money. If that looks very one-sided, it is.
His policies have pissed off our allies while embolding and abetting our enemies. His pull out from the TTP without any negotiating with those other countries has opened the Asian market to primarily Chinese influence. America is being cut out. Just the other day, Canada announced it reached a trade deal with 10 Asian countries. We are not part of that trade deal.
His Secretary of the Treasury is not worried about the dollar being weak. Although it could cause inflation to start to soar in our country. Prices will increase and the economy will suffer.
The idea that we have this clown as our supposed “leader” is bad enough. But, when everyone in his administration follows along and defends his stupidity, we are in bad shape. And, when Congressional Leaders from his party do the same thing, we are in deep shit.
I am willing to bet that he believes that once he leaves office, the country will build him the “biggest ever in history” monument to him for gracing us with his “wonderful” presence.
If that is the case, I have a suggestion for that monument. It should be a huge pile of bullshit with his face emblazoned on the curl at the top.
And, the shirts keep marching along.
