GOP Is Dead – Republican Party Now COP – Cowards On Parade

We really need to look at today’s Republican Party and understand just what they stand for. NOTHING! The party has adopted two planks for their candidate in the upcoming election. First make sure the border problems are never addressed. Second destroy our economy.

Those are the only two issues that they are interested in making happen. We still do not have a full budget for this fiscal year. Republicans actually want the government to shut down. They are actively working to ensure this goal is met. Not because of any desire to eliminate the so-called deep state, but because they know a government shutdown will hurt our booming economy.

GDP grew at 3.3 percent in the last quarter of 2023. Unemployment is at its lowest in decades. Inflation is getting under control and people’s wages, for the most part, have gone up. Things economically are looking good despite the Republicans claim that we are actually in a recession. Hell, even one of trump’s own economic advisors has admitted the economy is growing and strong under the Biden administration.

Remember, trump promised GDP growth of 2 to 4 percent. But, he never managed to achieve that. His successor has achieved it and there are no signs of it slowing down. As a result, and to make you afraid, Republicans want to shut down the government to cause a drop in the stock market and uncertainty in the economy. It is their attempt to crash the economy thinking they will gain votes if they manage to do so.

Then we have the border issue. It has been the Republicans who have cried crocodile tears about the border. They are always complaining about an “open border” and we need to do something about it. So Mitch McConnell asked one of his senior Republican Senators to work with the Democrats and get a bipartisan bill to address this issue.

That cooperation worked. There is a bill in the Senate that could come for a vote by next week. Even Republicans have called this bill one of the best immigration reform bills they ever saw. It gives both sides what they want. It even includes huge amounts of money for border security.

But, trump and his clown show don’t like the bill simply because they couldn’t come up with it when he was in office. They never tried. And even worse, it just might give Biden a victory that voters will appreciate. So, trump has been hounding his clowns in the House and Senate to “kill the bill”. Just like he has been pressuring them to ensure there is no approved budget and to force a government shutdown.

As usual, these clowns who care nothing about governing or even about our country are marching in lockstep with the fascist they want to rule over us. They are eager to kill the immigration bill because they only want to cry about the problems, not do anything about it.

They are marching in lockstep because the economy under President Biden is booming and getting stronger. That certainly not something they want because people just might be happy. Instead they want to scare you about an imminent collapse. Something that can and will most likely happen if they shut down the government.

Don’t take my word for it. Republicans have shut down the government several times in the past few decades. Each time a recession resulted and it took a long time to recover from that recession. The so-called party of business and economics appears to be transforming into the party wanting recessions no matter how much that hurts you and your family.

In the last administration we witnessed nothing being passed that was even close to bipartisan. As a result, we saw nothing passed at all that made your life better. In this administration we have seen bipartisan bills passed for infrastructure, inflation reduction and hopefully immigration reform. Things are getting done, but not because of any real help from the majority of Republicans in Congress.

Infrastructure and Inflation Reduction passed when Democrats controlled the House. Since the Republicans have taken control, NOTHING has passed. They aren’t even trying to pass the annual budget. They simply don’t care because their dear leader, the fascist trump, is ordering them not to do anything. And, right on key, the Cowards on Parade have fallen in line with him.

They are telling you that you do not count. You have no rights unless they tell you what they are. You have no right to happiness or even the right of dreaming of a better life. You are supposed to do what you are told and just shut the fuck up. They will let you know what to think, what to believe and how to live. That is what fascism is all about.

The Republicans have proven beyond a reasonable doubt they do not deserve your support or votes. They have proven that all of the word salads that keep spewing from their mouths are just that, nothing but words. They cannot be trusted to keep their word or promises. They only care about enriching themselves and ruling over you.

As a result, they are willing to do everything in their power to make sure the border is not fixed and to do everything in their power to crash our booming economy. That is not what Congress is supposed to do. It is designed to govern in order to make your lives better not worse. Republicans have opted for making you lives worse.

The seeds of fascism have already been planted in states like Florida and Texas. There governors are advocating for “shooting on sight” anyone crossing the border illegally. They are willing and actually defying Supreme Court orders. 

Other states have passed laws to make it illegal to transport anyone across the state in search of an abortion. The first step in making us have permission papers to cross state lines or to even cross county lines. If they can make it illegal for abortion, they can make it illegal for any number of issues they don’t like.

I would love to be able to say that the Republican Party is in chaos. But that would be a lie. The Republican Party we knew growing up has died a painful death. In its place is a fascist party hellbent on destroying our country by destroying everything we believe to be sacred. Our democracy, or dreams, our rights and our belief in what we want. 

They call a rainbow flag in a classroom “indoctrination”. Yet they want to force the ten commandments to be posted in the very same classrooms. How is that NOT indoctrination? We all know that it is, especially in a secular society where we can follow any religion we wish or none at all. Forcing that poster into classrooms is total indoctrination and they know it.

There comes a time in history when something needs to be done about ridding ourselves of fascist thinking. Today, fascism is rising fast all across the nation, and worst part is most people just aren’t paying attention because it doesn’t affect them personally.

America needs to wake up to the existential threat we are facing. We need to wake up and stop our sleep walk towards fascism. Otherwise, we will see our great nation fail in the worst ways. Your rights will be stripped and you will be expected to behave like “good little fascists”. 

Our nation has been the beacon of freedom in the world. Other nations wishing for equality have looked to us for the way forward. We have not been perfect, but we have grown and made progress. We became a better nation through all of the difficulties we have faced.

Today’s Cowards on Parade want to destroy all of that. Instead of being the guiding light for democracy, they instead want to be rulers even if it means destroying all of the ideals we hold sacred. Power above all else is their true mantra.

We really need to hand them the worst political defeat any party has faced. That includes all the way down the ballot in state and local elections as well. Otherwise the seeds of fascism will spread from one state to another. It is time to fight to save the soul of our nation. That battle ground is at the ballot box.

Don’t vote based on party. Vote based on morality and decency. Then and only then will we be able to save our democracy, our nation and our way of life. Otherwise the shirts will win out and our lives will become miserable and the lives of our children and grandchildren will be in jeopardy. 

Think about that when you head to the polls.

Republicans Prove They Are Lying About Wanting A Border Solution

The Republicans have been crying about the “border crisis” for a very long time. Yet, they refuse to do anything about it. Instead, they only want it to get worse so they have something to scare the shit out of you in order to gain votes based on fear and hate.

During the Obama administration, Republican and Democrat Senators sat down together and hashed out a compromise immigration reform bill. It passed the Senate with over 60 votes. Yet, the House under Republican control put it in a drawer and failed to act on it. Their reason? It would give Obama another “victory” and they didn’t want that to happen.

Since then, we have heard all sorts of complaints about the so-called “invasion” of immigrants crossing the southern border. We have heard all about the “open border” policy of the administration that have allowed all sorts of “terrorists” to enter out country. The border hysteria has gotten so bad, when there was a traffic accident at a Canadian border crossing resulting in an explosion, the right wing immediately called it a “terrorist attack”.

In fact, the accident was caused by a middle-aged white man returning from a casino after missing a KISS concert. There was no “terrorist attack” but that didn’t stop the right wing from going bonkers once again.

Now, there are some reasonable Republicans who want something done at the border. Hell, even Mitch McConnell wants something done that is reasonable and enforceable. So, he asked Oklahoma Republican Senator Steve Lankford to work out some kind of bill with Democrats. 

Lankford took to the task and sat down with Chuck Shumer to try to get a deal that would pass the Senate and be reasonable in its nature. Last week, they accomplished that task and came up with a bill that they believed would pass the Senate. They came up with a bill that included sweeping reforms and additional funding. It includes most of the things that Republicans have been crying to get.

So, you may think that something is actually going to be done about the problems at the border. WRONG! In their usual manner of not wanting to do anything except cry and cry, Republicans in the House have declared it dead on arrival without even seeing the total package yet.

This denial of trying to fix a problem started with their new House Speaker. Johnson on CNN tried to make it sound like it included nothing Republicans really wanted. He claimed that the compromise proposal only included funding to process migrants more efficiently into the US. When Tapper pointed out that was not true and listed specific provisions Republicans wanted on enforcement, Johnson immediately deflected to a photo-op solution – that Biden should visit the border.

He seems to think that a “photo-op” is the only solution to fixing our immigration problems. Don’t look at a bill, don’t read it, and don’t work to get it passed. Instead, just go to the border and have a photo-op in order to show just how much you really don’t give a shit.

Not all of the things included in this package has been let out to the public. But, many have. There is additional funding to fast-track the adjudication of asylum claims and deportations, increased border security, increase in the number of green cards issued, and a host of other things that many Republicans claimed that they wanted.

So, Republicans have proven once again they are not interested in solutions. Troy Nehls said the quiet part out loud – that Republicans aren’t interested in solving the border problem because doing that might help Biden in the 2024 election. The exact same thing we heard over 10 years ago when John McCain tried to get a compromised immigration reform bill passed while Obama was President.

Johnson went even further to show his disregard for real issues. He said that Congress can’t solve the border problem unless trump is elected or at least a Republican is in the White House. He is saying that only a fascist trump can “solve the border problem” with his mass roundups and mass deportations. Republican solutions to the border issue is to “shut down the border” and get rid of everyone they don’t like. Remember, history has shown us that walls are meant to keep you in as much as someone else out. Just East Germans.

This has become a real problem and shows exactly just how uninterested Republicans are at fixing any problem. Twice in this century, which is only 23 years old, Republicans in the House have refused to take up a bill from the Senate to address the issue they claim is “poisoning the blood of our country”. 

In 2022, they expected a huge “red wave” that would give them a “super majority” in the House and a majority in the Senate. It didn’t happen mostly because they picked the wrong issues. They made abortion bans a priority and the people rejected those proposals. Worse, they nominated several MAGA candidates who fell flat on their faces and lost elections Republicans might have otherwise won.

Today, they need something to hang their hat on. The economy is booming. Inflation has bottomed out. Unemployment is lower than it has been for decades. The economy and stock market are booming together. With all of this, Republicans are struggling to have something they can cry about and try to get votes. Immigration is about all they have left since they failed on every other issue they tried.

As a result, they are hellbent on keeping this bill from having a chance to pass because it would strip them of their last “great hope” of winning an election. And, as long as this is their main topic, it won’t matter who is in the White House, this problem will continue to plague us because Republicans really don’t give a shit about the border “crisis” or all of those “nasty terrorists” they claim are coming to kill us all off. What immigration reform bill did they pass the last the fascist trump was in the White House? Nothing!

No matter how you slice it, Republicans have proven beyond a reasonable doubt that they don’t care about issues. They don’t care about the border. They are only interested in “control” and total “authority” over your lives and family. 

Just more reasons to kick the lazy bums out of office this year. We cannot afford a party that doesn’t care about our country, our people or our security. Crying in your beer doesn’t make you effective. It just proves you are totally worthless. Refusing to take up bills that make things better for the people proves you are anti-American and anti-democracy.

It is time for these sewer rats to be sent packing back to the sewers they crawled out from. We do have problems and we need real men and women to solve them not just complain and bitch about them. Not doing anything about problems except blaming someone else is fascism not democracy. Think about that when you head to the polls.

Dear America – At One Point Your Ancestors “Poisoned The Blood” Of Our Nation According To Today’s Republican Party

Throughout my life, the Christmas season has been a time of happiness and good cheer. However, this year we are seeing the MAGA crowd and the
Republican Party engage in fear and hate. This is really getting out of hand because too many people are actually swallowing this bullshit being spewed out of the mouths of fascists.

Yes, this is the start of an election year and there is always controversial comments made during elections. But, the comments coming out of the mouth of trump and his avid supporters go way beyond the pale. And, it is actually getting worse and worse each passing day.

We have heard all about his invoking Hitlerism with his “poisoning the blood” or our nation. And, there are all sorts of people, almost exclusively white, who are cheering these horrible and divisive words. But, maybe it is time for them to remember history and our immigration polices of the past.

Any0ne who is of, as an example, Irish, Polish, German or Italian descent must take a step back and remember their ancestors and what they faced as immigrants in our country. The term “poisoning our blood” was used to define these immigrants as well as many others.

Long before the influx of these white immigrants, we must remember the “Chinese exclusion act” which barred Chinese from immigrating to our nation. They were used almost exclusively by the railroad companies to build the nation’s railroad system, especially when explosives were used. But, so many were brought here to do that dangerous job, there was actually a bill passed that barred anymore Chinese from entering the country.

When the potato famine struck Ireland and thousands of Irish began pouring into our country, there was huge backlash against them. The main reason for this backlash was because they were mostly Catholic. The white protestants didn’t want a huge influx of Catholics into the country. These Irish immigrants faced major discrimination when they first arrived.

As a matter of fact, many Irish were met at the piers as they got off the boats and were promised citizenship if they joined the Army. Many did just that in hopes of becoming U.S. citizens. However, it was an empty promise and most were never granted that citizenship. Plus, because they were Catholic, they were denied promotions and especially Officer status because of their “religion” and no other reason. They were told they were “poisoning the blood” of our nation.

Italians faced the same discrimination as well. This discrimination was also because of the Mafia. It was considered that all Italians were part of the crime syndicate and therefore should not be allowed into the country. Couple that with the fact they were also Catholic, that was just more reason for them to be kept out because they would “poison the blood” of the nation.

Poles faced the same discrimination for their religion as well. Growing up Polish jokes were common and always made them out to be totally stupid and incapable of anything. They were “poisoning the blood” of our nation.

The list of those discriminated against and told they were “poisoning the blood” of our nation goes on and on. Most of this discrimination came from either being non-white or being Catholic. 

Today, the victims of this hate have changed. Instead of Irish the Latinos are being targeted. Instead of Catholics being the scourge of the world, Muslims are now considered the scourge of the world and must be kept out. 

I have written many times that hate never sleeps. Hate moves from one target to another until it finally comes to y0u. Hate needs someone to blame for their own failures. Instead of doing something to help improve their own lot, they blame immigrants who are “different” from themselves and make them the scapegoat for their own miserableness.

We have seen this hate towards all sorts of people. We have seen it against Italians, Irish, Poles, Hungarians and many, many others. Hate is hate and it must be able to flourish by blaming others. If you are a Republican, remember your family immigrated here from somewhere else. And, in those days, the immigration to our nation was far easier than it is today. During most of the immigration influx, visa’s weren’t even needed to gain entry. All you needed to do was afford passage and show up. According to today’s standards all of those immigrants could be classified as “illegal”.

We need to understand that the words being used by trump and his Republican faithful are not mere words. They have meaning and they are hateful and divisive. They are intended to drive a wedge between our people. They point to those “others” and blame them for everything. They want you to hate others because they themselves offer nothing else.

The signs of authoritarianism in the Republican party are all around us. We even know who will be “next” on trump’s list of those to get rid of after immigrants. He keeps talking about mental institutions and how people should be locked up in them. He even mentions his enemies as those who should be locked up in mental institutions like Jack Smith who is prosecuting him.

That is exactly what authoritarians from fascists to marxist did and still do. They consider anyone who voices any opposition to their rule as “mentally unstable” and lock them up in institutions in order to silence them. That is exactly what trump and his Republican cronies are suggesting for our nation should he become president again.

So, during this time of Christmas, a time for peace and love, the Republican Party led by their crooked leader is instead spreading fear and hate. The so-called “Christian Nationalists” are ignoring the celebration of Christmas and spreading vile hate and inhumanity. Two things that their “savior” preached against.

If you really look at the disgusting language coming out of the Republican Party of today is saying, how can anyone believe they are “Christian”. How can anyone really believe they believe in our Constitution. 

During this previously “happy time of the year” they are too busy spreading hate and divisiveness. That proves to anyone who wants to see, they are not Christians, they are only fascists interested in ruling and destroying our nation.

Instead of saying “merry Christmas” or “happy Holidays” they are talking about locking up people and how immigrants are “poisoning our blood”. Please take note of that. That is exactly what white protestants said about your ancestors when they first arrived. You are actually the product of those who “poisoned our blood” as a nation. How can you now cheer those words?

The GOP Has Endorsed Hate Laws Led By The Ayatollah DeSantis

Let’s be clear. Racism by any other name is Racism. Florida is proving beyond a reasonable doubt that they have become the racist state they were long ago. I guess it never really went away. The Republicans in the state have passed more racist or anti-everything non white laws than any other state. The Ayatollah has proven just what kind of “America” he believes in. That is a white heterosexual nation where everyone else is excluded.

First were the anti-LGBTQ laws. He targeted everything about this community even saying he is glad so many are looking to move out of the state. This is a large community and I can’t imagine the economic impact them leaving will cause the state. When you look at his war with Disney and the “advisories” against traveling to the state, the economic impact could be high.

Now we have his anti-immigrant laws. These laws include just about everything to eliminate immigrants from the state and are all unconstitutional. Let’s take a look at some of these items included.

There is the “you can’t buy property” in the state if you are an immigrant without “documentation”. According to this law if you are an immigrant from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, and Venezuela you cannot purchase agriculture land anywhere near critical infrastructure or a military base. If an immigrant from one of these countries already owns such land, the must register with the state. If you are Chinese, the laws prevents you from purchasing any property at all within the state, with the exception of residential property that is not within five miles of a military installation and is acquired by a person with a valid non-tourist U.S. visa.

Under these measures, somebody who moved to the United States from Iran at a young age and grew up in the country would be ineligible to purchase certain property without a Green Card or citizenship. Similarly, a refugee from North Korea who fled from an oppressive government and resettled in the state would be unable to purchase certain property. Chinese immigrants would also face further scrutiny and discriminatory treatment, as they would be required to prove their eligibility to acquire property in these states.

The Ayatollah claims this in the name of “national security”. But, that is a lie and it is also unconstitutional. The 14^th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause prohibits states from denying “any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws” based on characteristics such as national origin. This law violates that amendment’s rights. It also is in violation of the Fair Housing Act.

This law would prohibit land acquisition by many individuals with no ties to foreign governments including refugees, undocumented individuals, student visa holders, and athletes, entertainers, and skilled workers without permanent residence.  How is that being fair? How is that not being Racist when the vast majority of those being targeted by this law are non-white? What about the hundreds of thousands of Cubans who came here in he 60s and 70s. They are immigrants. How does Marco Rubio defend this law. If it existed when his family came here, they would not have been able to purchase a home or start up a business and he probably would not be a Senator now.

Then we have other parts of the law. Under this law, if you are an undocumented alien and have a “legal driver’s license” from another state, don’t try to drive to Florida. They have said your license will be “invalid” in that state. So, Florida is denying the rights of people from other states who happen to want to travel to Disney World. If they get stopped, they will get arrested for driving without a valid license.

It also makes it a crime to “knowingly drive an undocumented alien across state lines”. This one is very tricky and potentially tricky for the Ayatollah himself. Under this law, if an undocumented alien has lived here for decades and had children born in the U.S. which makes them citizens, if that child drives their parent across the state line of Florida, that person is a criminal. The punishment for this crime is 15 years in prison.

That is where the dilemma for the Ayatollah comes in. If he continues his transporting undocumented aliens from Florida to other states, wouldn’t he be in violation of his own law? Wouldn’t that make him a criminal and shouldn’t he then be placed in prison for 15 years?

There are a lot of consequences for people and the state of Florida. If an undocumented alien has a job driving a truck and makes deliveries in Florida, he would be breaking the law if he drove his precious commodities of say food into Florida because his license is invalid there. Making it illegal for him to deliver his product. Doesn’t that hurt the state’s citizens?

This law has nothing to do with “national security”. It is targeting non-white immigrants from living their lives in peace, with our without documentation. You can bet when a white person shows up to purchase a house, the realtor will not ask to see their “citizenship” papers, whatever that is. But, if an Asian shows up to the same office to purchase a house, they will be required to show “proof” they are allowed to buy that home.

Let’s face facts. Most white people claim that all “Asians” look the same. Just like they claim that all “Blacks” look the same. Under this law, even their sports heroes from other nations cannot purchase a home in Miami because they aren’t “citizens” or have a “green card”. Most athletes and professional workers from other countries don’t get “green cards”. They are here on work permits and have “no official residence” in the state.

These kinds of laws are racist in nature. They are further proof of the white supremacist tendencies of the Ayatollah and the Republican Party in that state. They want to ban books they don’t like. They want to whitewash history so they don’t feel “uncomfortable” talking about past slavery or open racism. They want to eliminate the LGBTQ community. They want to toss out all immigrants by not allowing them to own homes.

The other reality in all of this is this is the “vision” the Ayatollah has for the rest of America. His fascist state is not alone in passing these kinds of laws. States like Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and many more Republican controlled states have passed or are trying to pass similar laws.

After signing the bill, at a press conference, the Ayatollah stated: “Today is one example of Florida really leading the nation in terms of what we’re doing to stop the influence of the Chinese Communist party.” In reality, these bills would only prevent individuals from living their daily lives—from starting businesses and owning homes.

What they really are is racist in nature and racist in purpose. I have said over and over, hate does not rest. If they defeat one target, they will move on to another. These laws being passed so regularly against non-white, non-heterosexuals is living proof of that hate moving from one target to the next. How long before they target you or your family?

What The Hell Is Wrong With People?

Alright, enough stupidity already! The past week I have begun to wonder just what the hell is wrong with people. The things coming out of some folks mouths defy sanity.

This all started with the balloon that the U.S. shot down over the Atlantic after it crossed the nation. It was not shot down before because the debris that would have crashed to earth could have harmed, injured or even killed people on the ground and/or caused property damage. That was not worth the risk.

But, that doesn’t stop the stupid from making comments about how that “explanation” is as “lie”. The leader of the cause is none other than the conspiracy theorist and whom I consider the mentally impaired, Marjorie Taylor Green.

She went totally bonkers in a speech about the balloon. She said that the fact that an aircraft on 9/11 crashed in a field in Pennsylvania and didn’t kill anyone on the ground was proof that the excuse given by the government is a “lie”. Of course she didn’t mention that the plane crashed because heroes on the plane tried to take it back from the hijackers and that it did not breakup in the air.

There are lots of examples of when things crash to earth innocent people are hurt or killed. Several years ago there was a mid-air collision and the debris fell on a school. Two children were killed and several others were injured. Not to mention the several airplane crashes into residential areas that killed several people.

Of course, whenever there is something like this happening, the UFO conspiracy nuts come out of the woodwork. There are now theories that these “balloons” are really from extraterrestrial beings. Yeah, like some alien is going to travel billions of miles across space and then use balloons to “spy” on us earthlings.

I would think that if they have the technology to come to our planet, they would most likely have the technology to “spy” on us without using balloons. But don’t let anything reasonable get in the way of conspiracy theories. That just might make too much sense to the average person.

Then we have ex-Chief of Staff to President Biden, Ron Klain, making a joke about the alien life spying on us. An interview on Colbert’s show went like this: “There is no evidence at all ― I’m sorry ― that it is aliens in any way, shape or form,” Klain said. Colbert pressed him. “Are you saying that these aren’t aliens, or there’s no evidence at all of any aliens out there?” he asked. Klain said: “There is no evidence of alien life on Earth other than Ted Cruz,” as the audience erupted.

Now, Klain should really be careful here. Stating that the only alien life on earth is Ted Cruz could be considered a huge “smackdown” on alien intelligence. If I were an alien life on earth, I would be severely offended to have anyone compare Ted Cruz to an intelligent alien. I mean really, Ted Cruz is intelligent?

But, this is what happens when people completely lose their minds over minor incidents. It is like too many people need some excuse to explain ordinary things and make them into some kind of conspiracy. The entire universe is out to get us. So, in order to make sure they get their headlines and their conspiracy theories out in the public, people like MTG run to the microphone and cast dispersions on everyone they don’t like or want you to hate.

In the meantime, we have huge problems that are not being addressed. We have the debt limit quickly approaching and Republicans are doing nothing about it except complain. We just had another mass shooting, this time at the University of Michigan State where 3 people were killed and at least 5 more injured. Yet, easy access to guns is still a major problem in our country and Republicans are the major reason for this easy access.

The Republican Party has become the “shiny object” party. Anytime one of them thinks there is another “shiny object” to distract you from the real problems we face, they will jump on it. They are totally despicable.

Since the mentally impaired MTG is now the face of the GOP, let me ask her some questions. And, I hope all of you are willing to ask them as well.

There are over 25 million people in our country that don’t have health insurance, what are you planning to do about that? There are over 23 million children who are suffering from hunger in our country, what are you planning to do about that? More children are killed by guns than auto accidents, what are you planning to do about that? There are millions of veterans who are homeless, what are you planning to do about that? There are millions of children who are homeless, what are you planning to do about that?

Those are just a few questions Republicans must be asked every time you get the chance. How is it that the richest country in the world face such outrages at these? How is it that a political party has no plan to address any of these issues? How is it that a party that does not care about anything except power even get votes?

This party, led by their new face, MTG, are the ones standing in the way of solving these problems. They just don’t care. They are also the ones standing in the way of reasonable immigration reform that will help ease the influx of migrants at our southern border. They only want to bitch about it and do nothing to fix it.

We all know this to be true. So, I ask, what the hell is wrong with people? How can anyone support such ignorant people? It is time for America to wake up and call these clowns out for what they are. Worthless!

We Now Know The House Republican Agenda – Burn It All Down

Well, we now know just what Republicans plan to do with their majority in the House. The first bill they are going to vote on is reducing the 87,000 IRS staffers. They claim that these agents are going to “go after low and middle income people’s taxes”. Of course that is a lie, since they are going to be used on people who make over $400,000 per year. It is estimated that this enforcement on the wealthy will increase revenue by about $174 billion over the next ten years.

Then we have the CBO who has said that if they do cut this money from the IRS, it will save about $71 billion. However, it will increase the deficit by over $100 billion over the next ten years. Republicans are calling that “reigning in reckless spending”. If that is reigning in reckless spending, then someone needs to redefine that term because increasing the debt is NOT reigning reckless spending.

Then we have their so-called attempt to secure our borders. The plan calls for finishing the Berlin Wall trump started and deporting migrants. That is all they plan. There is no mention of actually reforming our immigration policies or laws to make such extremes unnecessary. They call what is happening at the southern border “Bidens crisis’. Yet, this “crisis” has been going on since I was born 72 years ago and probably even longer than that. The only thing that will help is a real immigration reform bill to update our laws for legal immigration.

Then again, if they actually do something about our immigration problem they won’t have a talking point to bitch about every time the go before a microphone to complain. As usual, all they want is a bitch session and no real action that will actually do something positive.

We also have their promise to establish a sub-committee to investigate “the weaponization of the government”. In other words, they want to investigate the investigators. They plan to attack the DOJ by trying to get all of the evidence in “on-going” investigations they don’t like. They will target the investigation into Jan. 6 and other wrongdoings by their former president. They are doing so because several people who have been mentioned as members of this committee have been under investigation or referred to the Ethics Committee. However, they also gutted the Ethics Committee since they don’t believe that Congress members should be held accountable and have real ethics.

The supposed “leader” of this committee is going to be Gym Jordan of Ohio. He has said he is going to “use the power of the subpoena” to get what he wants. You know, the same type of subpoena he ignored from the Jan. 6 Committee. How can someone who openly defied a subpoena actually believe anyone else would comply with his?

The only purpose of this committee is political and everyone knows it. The committee will be set up to “investigate” any on-going investigation against someone these clowns follow. If they decide that the DOJ should not investigate someone, then they will try to investigate the DOJ for doing such an investigation in order to destroy the case.

But, Republicans do know something about “weaponizing” the government. In the 1950s we had the “big red scare” brought to you by a Republican Senator named “McCarthy” from Wisconsin. McCarthy was only interested in destroying the lives of anyone he considered a “communist”. They didn’t even need proof, they just destroyed lives.

Then we have the “select committee on Benghazi”. This was supposed to “lay bare” all of the bad things that Hillary Clinton did as Secretary of State when the incident happened. Naturally, nothing ever came of this investigation and no proof any wrongdoing was found. But, the current Rep. McCarthy said in 2016 that the committee was really set up to “hurt Clinton’s chances of becoming president”. Isn’t that “weaponizing” the government?

We also now know that Republicans in the House will refuse to raise the debt ceiling if Democrats don’t agree to massive cuts to Social Security and Medicare. They want to go back to the “we can’t spend money unless we cut somewhere else” plan they tried earlier. If the debt ceiling is not raised in September, the economy will most likely crash. Not only in America but across the world. Is that what these Republicans really want? If it is, how can they keep pretending to be “working for the average person”? They can’t because they have shown they don’t care about the average person.

It hasn’t even been a week since McCarthy was named Speaker of the House. But, in that short period of time, we have discovered that the real plan for House Republicans is to destroy our nation. They want to cut Social Security and Medicare. They want to cut the Defense Budget. They gut the Ethics Committee. They want to defund the FBI and destroy the Justice Department by interfering with on-going investigations. They are willing to destroy our economy with their imaginary fight to “cut the budget” by not raising the debt ceiling.

So far, everything they are talking about is designed to destroy our national defense, our economy, our justice system and our nation. This is their real agenda. Burn it all down!

Definition Of Republican Party – Evil – Despicable – Inhumane – Untruthful

It is time to be fully truthful. The Republican Party has become a party in evil, inhumane, despicable and untruthful people. The worst part is that they are actually proud of their actions, lies, and evil behavior. This has been placed on full display over this holiday season.

First we have the grinch who is also the governor of Texas. On Christmas Eve, he sent three busloads of migrants to Washington, D.C. He did this during a record-breaking cold snap. But, he didn’t drop them off at some shelter or place where they could be taken care of. No, he dropped them off on the side of the road.

Most of these people who were left on the side of the road, were never told where they were going. They were simply placed on the bus by Abbott’s people and sent north. They didn’t have proper clothing, they didn’t have proper blankets, and some didn’t even have shoes. There were children on these busses too.

This political stunt was a cruel and brutal treatment of human beings just because Abbott wanted headlines. This evil person seems to want these people to die. As far as I am concerned, he attempted to murder these people.

It is time for the federal government to stop this bullshit and charge him and DeSantis for human trafficking. There is no difference between these two MULES than Mexican mules who bring people to the border. Turns out the real dangerous mules we keep hearing about from Republicans are the Republicans themselves.

Then we have the case of Republican Representative elect from New York George Santos. Turns out he is nothing but a lying piece of shit looking for a job. And, if he had been hired by a private company, he would be immediately fired for lying on his resume.

First he claimed he graduated from Baruch College. Then he said he worked for CitiGroup and Goldman Sachs. Then he claimed to be a “proud American Jew”. All of those claims are outright lies. He never attended Baruch College much less graduated from there. He never worked for CitiGroup or Goldman Sachs. He is Catholic not Jewish.

In a series of interviews, he admitted he never graduated frm Baruch College and that in fact, he never graduated from any college or university. He admitted that he never worked for CitiGroup or Goldman Sachs. He admitted he isn’t a “Jew” but said: “Because I learned my maternal family had a Jewish background, I said I was ‘Jew-ish.’”

He claims that all he did was “embellish” his resume. No, he did not “embellish” his resume, he completely made it up and it is a piece of fiction bolstered by constant lies. Embellishing a resume would be saying he graduated in three years when in fact it took six. But, saying he graduated when he never did is a LIE not an embellishment.

The truth in all of this is that people like these two have become the face of the Republican Party. No one in the party has said anything about trying to kill migrants by Abbot for political headlines. No Republican has called for the immediate resignation of Santos for lying to his constituents and getting elected under real “fraudulent” means.

The only Republican who has said anything is the lying Marjorie Taylor Greene. In a speech not long ago she said that “telling lies to the base is a red line for me”. Now, she is saying we “should give Santos a chance”. The fact that he lied to the base apparently is NOT a red line for Greene. Why? Well because he already said he favors McCarthy to be Speaker, who Greene wants as speaker so she can wield more power.

Governor Abbott seems to think that he is a hero by being a human trafficker. We have had an immigration problem for decades. We desperately need immigration reform legislation to help with this problem. But, it is the Republicans who stop every attempt to pass such reform legislation. It is they who only want to bitch about immigration and not do anything about it.

Here is a suggestion for this asshole. Why not gather all of the Texas Republicans in Congress together and get them to write an immigration reform bill that will help the situation? Instead of being the inhumane monster you are, get your Texas Federal Legislatures TO DO SOMETHING instead of just bitching.

But that would mean they actually might have to do their job. Something Republican Texans in Congress are loathe to do. Here is another idea. Texas benefits most from oil business. Their state budget is funded by taxes on the oil companies. So, every time there is an oil spill, like the Keystone Pipeline just a few weeks ago, we should take all of the cleanup materials filled with the spilled oil and deliver it directly to the Governor’s Mansion in Austin. Just load it all up in dump trucks and dump it on Abbott’s lawn. Let him pay to get rid of it properly.

The Republican party has lost all sense of morality. They claim to be a “Christian” party favoring “religious freedom” and then turn around and try to murder migrants by dumping them on the side of the road in freezing temperatures. That isn’t very “Christian”.

This version of the Republican Party is totally pathetic. They have lost any sense of humanity. They are not Christian by any definition of the word. They are despicable and unwilling to do anything positive for the people of this country. They cry about “election fraud” yet support a fraud to become a member of the House and say nothing when his fraud is exposed.

We keep hearing Republicans saying they want to “save our country”. What the reality is we need to “save our country” from these Republicans. They claim to be “conservatives” when in fact they are racist, homophobic, Islamophobic and xenophic fascists”.

In essence the best description of today’s Republicans I can come up with is that they are worthless pieces of shit. And, that is being kind.

Dear Republicans – You Cannot Fix Problems Just By Bitching About Them – What Are Your Solutions?

Republicans running for office this midterm election cycle are beginning to complain about how “crime is out of control”. They naturally blame the Democrats for this. Yet, crime statistics from the FBI show this is not the case. And, furthermore, these same statistics show that so-called “red states” are seeing a larger increase in crime than others.

For example, did you know that the red state of Mississippi has a murder rate five times the murder rate, per capita, than New York State? Did you know that red state Florida has the highest hate crime rate than any other state? Did you know that the Republicans are calling for the elimination of the FBI? Hell, Marjorie Taylor Greene is selling “Defund The FBI” merchandise to raise campaign money.

We also have reports that there are “extremists” in the military, the FBI, and the Secret Service. There are articles calling a memo in the FBI as “chilling”. Yet, anyone who has served in any of these organizations knows that has been true forever.

Right wing extremists groups have always used the military as “training grounds” for their members. They either send members to the military to receive this training or they recruit like-minded people from the military to “train” their members. The FBI and the Secret Service have had extremists, from both sides, working there forever as well.

These organizations are samples of the general public since that is where they get their recruits. This has been true for as long as I have been alive and will continue to be true in the future. That is part of being a democracy.

Additionally, every single ad I have seen from Republicans talking about crime, always use photos of “black” men. That tells me this talk about crime is more about racism than it is about crime. They are continuously trying to tie black people to crime and declare that only black people commit crime.

They always refuse to acknowledge or show pictures of others. We never see them talk about the Las Vegas mass killer. Or the Pace Night Club mass killer. Or the Sandy Hook school mass killer. Or the Parkland school mass killer. Why? Well there are two reasons. One, these people were all white. Second all of them used guns to commit their murders.

Those are two things Republicans don’t want to talk about. They apparently won’t show white criminals in their ads because like DeSantis, they “don’t want to make white men feel uncomfortable”.

Crime is something that we have always have had to deal with. It is something that can be dealt with, but we also need to deal with the symptoms and reasons for crime. We cannot ignore a case of pick-pocketing any more than we can ignore a case of mass murder. But the reasons for each case is different and the means to carry out those crimes are different.

We cannot address any of these crimes unless we are willing to have reasonable and measured debate about the causes and finding compromise to help solve the problem from non-violent to violent crimes. Yet, when we call for such discussions, the Republicans hide their heads in the sand until the outcry dies down. Then, in the next election, they try to blame the other side for crime.

Crime does not discriminate between red or blue. It does not say, “well, I am going to happen in blue states and not red states” or vice versa. Crime is a social problem that needs both sides to address it to solve it. Mass incarceration, which has been tried before, does not work. On the other hand, not holding people accountable for their crimes does not work either.

I am not a sociologist. I do not have the answers as to what we need to do to slow down or put an end to crime. However, I was responsible in my career to protect people from crime, and I know that you have to look beyond the actual case and look for solutions.

I also know that systemic racism is one reason for some crime. You cannot deny classes of people opportunity and not expect them to “fight back” in some manner or out of desperation. Real solutions need to be found in order to make all of us safer from crime. Crying about crime and blaming a certain group of people is not the solution. It is in fact a cause for more crime.

Republicans need to look in the mirror when it comes to this issue. Everyone is to blame for crime in our country. Ignoring it and trying to “scare” people by complaining about it is not the answer. The Anti Defamation League last week put out a report that says Florida has become the “haven for white supremacist and right-wing extremists groups” in the nation.

With rising hate crime statistics in his state, why isn’t DeSantis doing something about that? Florida has a large Jewish community. Yet, it is also the state with the most anti-Sematic groups living there and roaming the streets. This combination of hate groups making Florida their home and the rise in hate crimes is no coincidence, to me. Extremist groups even hold signs during protests calling Florida “DeSantis Country”. What that does say about the man and his policies?

If you take a look at the crime statistics, hate crimes have exploded over the last six or seven years. Asians are being attacked on the streets just because they are Asians. LGBTQ people are being attacked on the streets just because of who they are. Yet very little is being done to stope this “crime wave” because the Republicans are simply ignoring it. They prefer to frighten white voters by claiming that “blacks are all criminals”.

We have a lot of issues and problems in our country. We need to prioritize those issues and deal with them one at a time. However, we cannot do anything to fix our problems until we have both sides of the aisle coming together and doing their jobs.

We cannot fix the immigration problem until Republicans are willing to work with the other side and come up with a solution. We cannot slow down inflation until Republicans stop whining and work with the other side to find a solution. We cannot solve a crime problem until Republicans are willing to stop blaming one group for all of the crime and work with them to find solutions.

We keep hearing that our political system is mired in partisanship and “silos”. That isn’t the problem. We have always had partisanship and “silos”, but we also never had extremists run a party before. The real problem is one side of the aisle isn’t interested in fixing problems. If they help fix problems, they won’t have anything to bitch about. They won’t have anything to blame the other side.

In his century, when Republicans controlled the House, they were the least productive Congress in our nation’s history. That is a simple fact. That combined with their gripes and no policies to offer us today, proves beyond a reasonable doubt they are not interested in doing anything except bitch, complain and sit back and collect their paychecks. You and I simply don’t matter to them.

Just more reasons to make sure Republicans are soundly beaten next month. We need to bring back a Republican Party that is willing to govern, not just bitch all of the time. That is how our system is supposed to work. It won’t as long at the extremists are running the party.

Vote the bums out in November.

Republicans Use “Pick And Choose” Even In Political Stunts

One of the biggest arguments about undocumented immigration is that people who bring migrants to the borders are involved in “human trafficking”. That is a good description of what is happening. People are being brought from their country to another for money.

So, let me ask a question. Are the States of Florida and Texas involved in state sponsored “human trafficking”? They aren’t doing it for money, but they are doing it for power, which to me is just as bad. They are taking people and sending them out of state and making publicity out of their human trafficking.

But, besides the possibility that both Governors are involved in illegal human trafficking, they are also engaged in “pick and choose” which immigrants are being sent out of state. They are not randomly putting people on busses or planes. They are picking which immigrants are sent away and who can stay.

For example, DeSantis could have chosen from over 1300 people who landed on his shores from Cuba since October. Just over the Labor Day weekend, 15 people landed in Florida from Cuba. Yet, none of these “illegals” were selected for this human trafficking scheme. Why?

Their answer is that people from Cuba are fleeing “communist rule” and that makes a difference. But, Republicans have been calling Venezuela a “communist country” for decades. But, the majority of those on DeSantis’ planes were from Venezuela. Why is it okay for Cubans to be treated differently than Venezuelans?

He has justification to use Cubans in his human trafficking scheme because Florida Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nuñez triggered a political furor back in August when she suggested on a radio program that Florida might bus newly arrived Cuban refugees from Florida to President Joe Biden’s home state of Delaware. However, no Cubans have been “bussed” to anywhere. Why?

We must remember that Florida has a very large Cuban population. Republicans have pandered to this Cuban community for votes by always protecting their right to illegally travel to our country because of “communist rule”. On the other hand, Venezuelans are not given the same courtesy because, especially in Florida, there isn’t a big enough Venezuelan population to worry about losing votes.

DeSantis needs the Cuban vote to win his reelection bid in November. If he starts human trafficking Cubans in his political stunt scheme, he would lose those votes and maybe even the election. Something a dictator can’t allow to happen.

In Texas, by the way, a criminal investigation has been launched by the Sheriff whose country includes San Antonio where the planes came from. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar was highly critical of the anti-immigrant operation, saying at a news conference Monday that the 48 people ― most of whom are from Venezuela ― were apparently “exploited and hoodwinked” into leaving a migrant resource center in his county by a hired scout, shuttled onto a flight to Florida and then “unceremoniously stranded” in Martha’s Vineyard despite being told they were headed to Boston to receive expedited work papers.

He said: “What infuriates me the most about this case is that here we have 48 people that are already on hard times, right? They are here legally in our country at that point; they have every right to be where they are. And I believe that they were preyed upon. Somebody came from out of state, preyed upon these people, lured them with promises of a better life, which is what they were absolutely looking for.”

So, we must also ask if DeSantis is guilty of intra-state human trafficking? He apparently sent people from Florida to Texas to “hoodwink”, as the sheriff said, people to get on planes to “fly to Boston” but were really flown to Martha’s Vineyard. Since he used Florida taxpayer money for this stunt and the people were not even in Florida, does that make him guilty of fraud against the taxpayers of Florida?

If the answers to these questions are “yes”, then DeSantis is a very dangerous criminal who should resign his seat immediately. He is flagrantly flouting the laws of this nation and decided that “human trafficking” is no crime as long as he is the instigator of it.

Abbott in Texas is no better. He also is bussing immigrants from Texas. But, he isn’t sending any Cubans out of state either. Hundreds of Cubans make the journey to our country through Mexico and walk to our borders just like others looking for a better life. But, Abbott doesn’t ship them out of state. He must be terrified that Cancun Ted would be furious with him if he did. And, where is the outrage from Cancun Ted about Venezuelans being human trafficked out of state since they are “fleeing a communist country” as Cancun Ted has called Venezuela.

These stunts are being done for no good reason. They are being conducted because for politics. They are being done because Republicans need the racist vote, the anti-immigration vote, and the Cuban vote. That is why they are so careful not to include Cuban immigrants in this stunt that is nothing less than human trafficking.

Just more reasons why Republicans must be voted out in November. They are only interested in ruling not governing. If they were interested in governing, they would be very willing top negotiate with Democrats and address the immigration problem through proper legislation and not just political stunts.

The bums must be voted out in November for the sake of our future and our children’s future.

The Right Wing’s Love Affair With Slavery Is Sickening

It doesn’t matter what “words” the right wing in America tries to downplay it, the fact is they have fallen in love with the concept of slavery. Or at least as excuses not to even want to talk about it. They use words like “woke” or “leftist blaming whites” or “making whites feel bad”. The reality is they are excusing the great sin of America being involved with the selling and enslaving human beings.

You know this is getting out of hand when a national so-called “news network” complains about anyone talking about the real history and the real facts of slavery. They call it being “woke” and they claim it must stop because it is making too many white people feel bad.

In Republican controlled after Republican controlled state things like “critical race theory” and even the mentioning of slavery in public schools is either being banned or strongly attacked. In one Republican state they even tried to call slavery “involuntary relocation” in the school curriculum. Fortunately, it was voted down by the education department.

So, now Fox News has taken up the “slavery wasn’t all that bad” mantra openly an proudly. In a special segment on Sunday they complained that Monticello  plantation makes visitors feel bad by educating them on true aspects of American history.

It was two of the usual “slavery excusers” who did the most complaining from Fox and Friends. Weekend hosts Rachel Campos-Duffy and Pete Hegseth brought up an article published in the New York Post Saturday that accused the Charlottesville, Virginia, home of the Founding Father of “going woke” and offering visitors “a harangue on the horrors of slavery.”

Hegseth complained that Monticello is now all about “how terrible Thomas Jefferson was because he was a slave owner” and presents a “one-sided point of view that makes Thomas Jefferson a bad guy in his own home.”

Campos-Duffy complained that there is a sign in the museum that questions if Jefferson’s line in the Declaration of Independence that “all men are created equal” is being lived up to in the U.S. today.

She also took issue with an international bestselling anti-racism book for sale in the gift shop. “All of these sort of books that are damning of America and suggesting that we’re still a racist country are for sale in the gift shop.”

All of this of course is to deflect from the very fact that many of our Founding Fathers did in fact own slaves all the while they were “fighting for independence and freedom” from England. Thomas Jefferson owned 600 slaves 400 of which were held at Monticello.

Campos-Duffy wasn’t finished. She argued that there were slaves throughout human history, but people shouldn’t be “ashamed” of leaders who owned them. “I get that. It’s a terrible history we should talk about, but we should not feel guilty or ashamed of our leaders when we go and visit the people who brought us the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence. You leave feeling that way,” she said.

Yes, there has been slavery throughout history. But, that doesn’t make it something to be whitewashed over. Nor should we not discuss it because some of our Founding Fathers owned slaves. They talk about our Founding Fathers as some kind of saints despite their sin of owning people and treating them a “property”.

The true matter is that it is the right wing and the white supremacists who keep arguing about how we should not discuss slavery in our country. It is they who argue that we should not look at racism in our country. Why? Because having those discussions or teaching real American history makes THEM feel guilty because they are trying to excuse the sin.

During the time all of this was being discussed as we looked to break from England and for decades after we won that independence, the slave owners called this practice “our peculiar institution”. It was their way to deflect from the fact they knew it was wrong but really didn’t care because all of the slaves were “negro” and not white.

The Thomas Jefferson Foundation has owned and restored Monticello since 1923, and provides resources on many aspects of Jefferson’s life and writings, with a vision to “bring history forward into national and global dialogues.”

In response to the New York Post’s article, a Monticello spokesperson said: “Our goal is to present an honest, inclusive history of Monticello in all its aspects as well as Jefferson’s contributions to the founding of the country.” Well, Hegseth considered that response as proof that the “people behind the organization are all leftists”.

I want to remind these morons that we have also had other things take place throughout history. We have had racism of all kinds hurt people. We have had people “blame” others for their own problems. We heard fascists all around the world talk about those who are “out to get us” and take away our identity. We heard it from Hitler, Mussolini, Hussein and many others. When they chose their “victims” they were very careful to make sure they were “not our people”. As a result, we have seen genocide across the globe for eons.

Today, we are hearing the same kind of speech from the right wing in our own country. They are always complaining that we are “losing” our rights because of immigrants, Muslims, people of color, and “leftists”. We heard Hitler blame not only Jews but Communists for all of the ills of Germany. We heard Hussein blame Jews for all of the ills of Iraq. The list goes on and on.

Now we are hearing about “white victimization” all over again. The right wing is spouting these lies in order to gain political power. They are using things like Christianity to boost their lies. They want to divide us into groups so it will be easier for them to “target” those others if they actually win power.

We have reached a very treacherous position in our political discourse. If the right doesn’t want to talk about something like slavery or racism, they wrap themselves in the flag and complain that teaching the facts about slavery and racism is “un-American” and “unpatriotic”. If we allow these discussions to take place, it undermines their “white supremacy” theories and proves that no race is superior to any other.

If discussing the real truths about slavery, even at Monticello, makes those Fox News people “feel guilty” about slavery then I say good. If they really believe we should whitewash the whole topic and “blame the leftists” for making them feel bad, then we need more of it not less.

The right wing truly has a “love affair” with slavery. They want us to ignore our true history because it proves we are not perfect nor were we ever perfect. The idea of learning real history is so we avoid making the same mistakes of the past. It is to help us understand and do better than our ancestors. If that can’t happen, then something is very wrong.

The right doesn’t want our children to learn the truth because they are afraid their bullshit will be exposed and future generations will turn their backs on this evil. That means they will lose power.

As it has been said over and over. “Those who fail to remember history are doomed to repeat it”. The idea that we must repeat our history, according to the right wing, is what we must fight against. When one group gains power the rest of us are in jeopardy. No one will be free from suspicion or abuse. NO ONE.

Think about that on election day in November. We must vote the supremacists out of office now.
